iTeacherBook iPhone App Review #iTeacherBook

Being a Teacher myself, I am fully aware of the struggles a teacher has to go through everyday to keep everything organized. Keeping all the information about your students, tracking their progress and academic development is not anything that can be easily handled. On top, catching up with the lesson plans, managing the daily schedules, planning activities for students, keeping track of assignments leaves you exhausted.

I keep things organized and keep track of everything by maintaining a planner. Apart from the planner, I always have to keep my grading book and assignment book with me to keep upgrading the record, With so many planners, and notebooks to carry I always wished for something that would spare me of the weight of notebooks and was not so complicated to maintain.

When iStudiez Team gave me the opportunity to review their new iTeacherbook App, designed specifically as a tool to be used by teachers to help them ease the burden and keep things organized, I was on cloud9. This app is available for download in Apple Store and can be used in iPhone, iPad or even macbook.

When you open the app for the first time, after downloading it, you can take a tutorial tour using the template created by the developers to help you understand all the features. If you feel you can figure things out without the tutorial, thats fine too. Simply skip the tutorial and start navigating through different available options.

On opening the app you land onto the HOME PAGE  which has 4 tabs at the bottom that will take you to : Today, Calendar, Assignments, and Planner. The Today View lists all the events that have been scheduled for the day. If you don’t have anything scheduled of planned for today, the app automatically displays nice comments to make your day!

In the Calendar View, you are offered 2 choices : Either you can go through at your SCHEDULE or ASSIGNMENTS. If you are looking at the portrait view,  you will see the monthly calendar with complete schedule, with classes identifies by coloured dots, assignments due with paperclip and exam dates in red flag. This makes it very convenient for you to go into details of whatever date you want to without having to scroll through a bunch of pages before landing on the right one. Under the calendar you can see list of even linked to that day, as planned by you!

If you view it in landscape view you would be able to see your calendar week by week.  Simple scroll from lest to right to go through past events or upcoming events. Isn’t it great! Everything right at your finger tips!

By tapping into a schedule on the calendar page, you can see all the related details. There is also an option to record student attendance for all the courses you take. Wow! So no more need of carrying attendance register around!

The Assignments View lets you to see all upcoming assignments, and you can sort them according to due date or status.

Not only this, you can plan for all the courses right through this cool app, from the lessons, to grading system. Tracking students progress can be easily done on this app. Moreover, the assigned assignment, their due dates and the status all can easily be maintained without involving pen and paper!

I am truly loving every bit of this app and can confidently say that teachers will be benefited from this. It is real life and time saves app for teachers!
